The older woman was sitting by the wayside
Of course, there were many shops and restaurants in the central street. Yet the lanes were flanked by old fashioned houses when I get sidetracked. In spite of many houses, I didn't meet many locals. The atmosphere was tranquil.
When I rambled along a lane, I found an older woman sitting by the wayside. She was relaxing alone there. And she was looking at the end of the lane with an absent air. Following her line of sight, there was a young couple walking close together.
