A mother was sitting on a bench placed by the entrance next to the altar room. On her lap, her young daughter rested limply. The girl was completely deflated and seemed to be fast asleep in her mother's lap. Meanwhile, the mother was quietly fiddling with her phone.
This temple, like the others, has an uninterrupted flow of worshippers. It is said that some of the visitors even do fortune telling here. The culture of old-fashioned fortune-telling is firmly rooted in the space of this temple.
But most visitors will have their phones in their hands. Traditional, unscientific fortune-telling and the latest electronic devices share the same space here without any contradiction. It was strangely strange, but at the same time it seemed quite natural.
The silence in the temple and the faint sound of tapping on a phone. They were from different eras, yet somehow seemed to coexist harmoniously.
