Narrow-eyed Butcher

Narrow-eyed butcher

The butcher was sitting under the meat

Shot in the city of Malda, India.

A narrow-eyed man in this photo was a butcher. He was sitting at the entrance of his small shop. A hunk of meat was hung beside him. It might be slaughtered by himself. It was common to kill and disassemble by the roadside here.

If you were lucky, you could see people doing butchering in the street. And the butcher started to sell the meat at once. So the meat could be fresh. Yet not only human but also flies were attracted by the fresh meat.
