Every morning, the Buddhist monks of all temples in this town come out and parade for the morning alms. They walk barefoot while they hold their own alms bowl in their arms. And they stop in front of the believers who sat by the wayside to receive the alms. They walked around the silent streets inscribed as a World Heritage site.
Because the monks renounce the world, they don't engage the production activities. So it is needed to accept charity for them. Although this ceremony is a religious ritual, it becomes also a tourist attraction now.
