There was a peaceful atmosphere in the precincts of Takahata Fudo. I stayed in front of the main hall for a while, but not many worshippers came. I gazed blankly at the magnificent main hall, surrounded by silence.
The main hall in this photo was rebuilt in 1982 after it was destroyed by fire in 1778. I don't know how it happened, but it was a grand project that took over 200 years to complete. Although it hadn't been rebuilt for very long, it still looked calm and solemn.
In the meantime, an elderly man arrived. The man stopped in front of the main hall and took off his cap before paying his respects. Even without bowing, he looked as if he was greeting the gods.
