Three Jizo Standing Completely Still All The Time

Three Jizo statues
Shot at Takahata Fudo, a Buddhist temple in Hino, Tokyo Tetsu Ozawa

Three statues stood together

There were three statues of Jizo in the precinct. Although their faces were similar and all of them were wearing a cap, what they had in their hands were different from each other.

The left one had a big prayer beads, the mid one had a script and the right one had a hammer. I could understand the reason why there were a prayer beads and a script in some vague way. Yet I couldn't understand why the statue had a hammer in its hand. I wondered it had a hammer to kick a habit.
