Two-stories houses were standing side by side. And one of them was a small shop. A big signboard was hung on the wall. Along with Latin characters, the name of this shops was also written in Chinese. This shop was run by Chinese abroad.
Both sides of the name, 'Kopi' was written on the signboard. Kopi means coffee here. The shop seemed to be a general store.
Its upstairs window was opened and a man was leaning out from it. I didn't know what he was doing there.
