In the center of Yangon, there are not only large shopping centers, but also other small stores. Moreover, it was not only people with stores who were doing business. There are also many street vendors doing business on the side of the road. Many street vendors sell drinks and food. The man in the photo is one such street vendor.
A large pot was placed on the stove in front of the man. When I peeked inside, I saw beautiful yellow corn floating in the pot. The man in the horizontally striped T-shirt was selling boiled corn on the side of the road. Smoking a cigarette, the man worked leisurely.
It is not unusual to see people selling grilled corn in Asian countries, but it is rare to see boiled corn for sale. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that charcoal was used on the stove to boil the pot. Even with a strong fire, it takes time to boil a large pot of water with charcoal. The man seems to be doing his business while leisurely boiling water with charcoal on the side of the road where people are busy coming and going.
