There many shops in the city center of Yangon. Along with them, many street vendors did business by the roadside. Most of them sold beverages and foods. The man in this photo was one of them. Two big pans were placed in front of him. Each pan was put on a brazier. He used coals to bring the water to a boil. And some corns were seen in the pan. He sold boiled corns there.
Smoking a cigarette, he worked in a leisurely pace. It was common to see street vendors selling grilled corns in Asian countries. However, it was not common to see boiled corns being sold in the streets. Although the firepower was high, I thought it took a long time to boil water in a pan by coals. Therefore, he seemed to have a relaxed attitude.
