The owner of the tea shop was pouring out tea for me
The town of Chiayi is located at the foot of Alishan. Alishan is famous for its tea leaves. Therefore, I assumed that there would be many tea stores selling tea in this town. But I was wrong. When I walked around the town, I could hardly find any tea stores. In fact, there seemed to be far more tea stores in Taipei.
In such a situation, I finally found a tea store. Stepping into the store with some relief, I was greeted by the owner with a smile. He then agreed to brew a pot of tea for me. In Taiwan, many tea stores offer tea tasting. This store was no exception. The owner carefully brewed me a cup of Chinese tea, one by one, in accordance with the etiquette of the tea ceremony.
As I took the owner's word for it and drank the teas served one after another, I found my stomach was already emptying of water. But all the teas were fragrant, and every sip reminded me of the cool breeze in Alishan. I was filled with a sense of satisfaction.
