The woman carrying pans overhead passed by the smoking man
A man was standing in front of a store, watching the traffic in a daze with a cigarette in his mouth. In Yangon, the anti-smoking movement is still not very active, and it is not difficult to find places that sell cigarettes.
Cigarettes are a major luxury item in Myanmar, but cigarettes are not the only similar luxury item. Local people not only smoke cigars, but also chew kun, known as paan in India. From what I have seen, they seem to prefer cigars and kun to cigarettes, probably because they are cheaper than cigarettes. In any case, what the man standing by the roadside had in his mouth was white, so it was probably a cigarette, not a cigar or kun.
As he was doing this, a woman with a pot on her head appeared out of nowhere. She was walking with no hands on the pot, balancing on her feet. Then, in the blink of an eye, she walked past the man who was blowing smoke and walked away over there.
