The train came into Churchgate station in Mumbai. Even though the train was still moving and had not come to a complete stop, the doors were already open. Or to be more precise, the doors were always open. The doors of the trains running in this area cannot be closed even when they are running.
As I looked at the trains passing by, I saw that each of the open gates was occupied by a quick-witted passenger who was waiting to get off the train as soon as possible. The door to the boarding gate in front of me was also open, of course, and a man was standing there with his hands in his pockets.
