I was walking in downtown Nihonbashi. Perhaps because it was daytime, there were few people on the street and few bars were open for business. The bright sun shining down on the drinking area seemed somewhat out of place. Neon lights at night are much more appropriate for such a neighborhood.
As I was waiting at a traffic light, I noticed a man and a woman waiting for the same signal on the opposite corner. Both are well-dressed and appear to be calm and collected. There is a well-established department store nearby, so they may be on their way home after finishing their shopping there. The two figures were strangely harmonious in the quiet downtown area during the daytime.
