Man Kneeling Down In Baoan Temple

Man kneeling down in temple

The man was just offering prayers

Shot at Baoan Temple in Taipei, Taiwan.

I entered into the courtyard of the temple. In front of the main altar, a table to pray was placed. And a man was kneeling down there. Some incense sticks were in his hands and he was just offering prayers His face was serious. So what he was praying for seemed to be an important thing. He kept occupying the place and I kept watching without saying a word.

By the way, the pillars in the precinct were sophisticatedly sculptured like other temples in this country. The flamboyance might empower its majesty. Yet they were too pretentious for me who grew up in Japan.
