There was a Hindu altar on a street corner in Kathmandu. It may be more of a shrine than an altar. In Kathmandu, where it is said that there are more gods worshipped than people living, there are temples, altars, and shrines everywhere in Kathmandu, and Hindu gods sit everywhere in this city. However, it is difficult for a simple traveler to determine what kind of god is enshrined there.
I did not know which god was worshipped on the altar here. All I could make out was that there were two men sitting in front of the altar wearing the traditional Dhaka Topi cap. Both men looked straight back at me when I pointed my camera at them, though their gazes were somewhat stern.
