The members of a family sat together in front of the altar in Santo Domingo Church
Four women were sitting in front of the altar in the Santo Domingo de Guzman church in Chiapa de Corso. It was supposed to be a place of worship, but these women didn't seem to be interested in worship. They were chatting, albeit in a whisper.
There were not only older women but also the young girl. If there was not the altar in front of them, it would be like a family reunion. It was much cooler inside of the stone-built church than the outside, so maybe they came just to take a break.
I didn't know what they were talking about inside the church, but whatever they were talking about, the statue on the altar seemed to be blessing them with its arms wide open.
