The train may have just gone. The platform on the other side of Phaya Lan Train Station in Yangon was deserted. As I looked around the empty platform, I noticed a food stall in a corner. A few people were sitting on chairs around a table set up under a large tree. I didn't know what the stall was about, but people seemed to be having lunch there.
There are only a few trains on the Yangon Circular Railway where this station is located. This is very different from the similar rail line, Yamate Line. According to the timetable, there is only one train per hour. If you don't come to the station at the right time, you will have too much time to spare. Many people would want to have a quick bite to eat on the way to it. Considering that, I think it's not bad to do business on the platform. Even in Japan, it is the same because. As proof, the food stall in this photo seemed to be quite prosperous.
As I was watching people enjoying their meals, I felt that I was getting hungry too.
