The door was on the wall of a warehouse. There were many warehouses around there. This area was once prospered as a post station.
It was common to build a warehouse in the site of the wealthy houses. Because the traditional house in this country was made with woods, the worldly goods would be reduced to smithereens when the fire occurred. So the asset holders built their own firesafe warehouse to protect their assets.
