It had just stopped raining, and there was no one playing in the park next to the Yushima Seido. There were no young children in the sandbox, and of course no mothers to accompany them. The pillars standing in the park stood quietly, and the edge of the sandbox was crooked. The park was empty and desolate.
The park, Ochanomizu Park, was small. It looks like a small piece of land that has no other use was turned into a park. According to the Bunkyo-ku website, this park was built in 1966. It's been a long time, but not too long. I wonder what used to be here before it became a park.
