While strolling in Ho Chi Minh City, I met a young woman wearing glasses. She was dressed in an ao dai. When I think of Vietnam, I have an image of ao dai, but I do not see many people wearing ao dai in the city. The only people who wear ao dai are students or people who wear it for work to create an atmosphere of Vietnam. This is how traditions change.
When I turned my lens on her, she smiled and gave me a peace sign. She was cheerful. She was holding a plastic bag in her hand, so I guessed she had bought lunch somewhere and was on her way back to work.
