According to the time table, not so many trains come to Mahachai station. It was a rural terminal station. The train which I would get on didn't come to this station yet. Nevertheless, some passengers waited in the station already.
Looking at a small square in front of the station, two tuk-tuks stopped there. They were waiting for customers who emerged from the train. Because there was still time for the arrival, the drivers of tuk-tuks seemed to have nothing to do.
Tuk-tuk is a three-wheel taxi, which is common in Thailand. I saw many tuk-tuks running around the city of Bangkok. Yet most of them were hired by foreign tourists.
Although it is a nice item to rouse travel emotions, I thought it is an inconvenient item for daily use. Not many local people were seen getting on a tuk-tuk in Bangkok. The situation seemed to be different here, Mahachai. The customers whom the tuk-tuk drivers waited could be local people because it was rare for foreign tourists to come to this station at this time.
