The railroad tracks coming out of Mahachai station stretched straight. Watching them, I felt as if they homed in on the city of Bangkok. Of course, that was not it. The capital of Thailand was still about 30km far from here.
Compared with Mae Klong station which became famous for the market held on the railroad tracks, this terminal station couldn't become famous. It is still just a rural station. The pastoral atmosphere wafted there. Walking around the station, it was uncommon to see foreign tourists.
In these circumstances, a small greengrocery was open just beside the railroad tracks. A woman sat in the shop and sold some vegetables. However, there was no customer and the shopkeeper seemed to have nothing to do.
The appearance of the store was almost the same with the stores in Maeklong Railway Market. The difference was there was only this greengrocery here. I thought this place became bustling if many stores were open just beside the railroad tracks like this store.
