Vertical Stripes And Pedestrians

Pedestrians crossing street

The pedestrians were just crossing

Shot in the city of Fujisawa, Kanagawa.

When I stopped on the pedestrian bridge, a pedestrian crossing was below my eyes. The pedestrians started to walk on the vertical white lines at every time of a green light. During I watched, I thought the white lines seemed to be scale marks. And the people walking shoulder-to-shoulder were needles.

The indication was getting higher and higher as they moved and the needles exceeded when they finished crossing the street.
