A woman was just buying at a Lu Wei stall

There was a food stall operating on the side of a big street in Tainan. There was a lantern with the word "滷味" written on it hanging in front of the stall. It is a word that I often see in Taiwan but am not familiar with the word in Japan. It is read as "Lu Wei" and generally means stewed food.

Although the word "stewed food" makes you feel like you know what it is, it is difficult to actually understand what it is. There is a wide range of stewed dishes in one word. There is no word in Japanese that corresponds exactly to "Lu Wei".

Even if you read a lot of written materials, it is difficult to understand what is written, and even if you see what is actually sold, it is difficult to describe it clearly. From what I've seen sold here and there, I think the best way to describe it is to call it "soy sauce stew with a choice of ingredients". What is stewed in it depends on the store.

While I was looking at the stall selling the stewed dishes, a woman on a motorcycle came by. She got off the motorcycle, put on her helmet, and bought something. I wondered what the food here was stewed in.
