Two Incense Sticks

Two incense sticks in incense burner

Two incense sticks were stuck in the burner

Shot at Todoroki Fudoson, a Buddhist temple in Todoroki, Tokyo.

A big incense burner was placed in front of the main hall. And two incense sticks were stuck in it and burning silently.

After being burnt to a frazzle, the ashes banked. And new incense sticks were stuck another and yet another. To turn into ashes doesn't mean to pass out of existence. The ashes become beneficial for new blood to support in any way. During I was thinking such thing, many visitors were praying at the other side of the burner.
