I walked a street along the canal to head for Hua Lamphong Station. However, I didn't intend to leave this city. I just wanted to take a subway from the station. The street was wide and many cars passed by me. It was not interesting to walk. So I decided to cross the small canal. When I came to a small bridge that spanned over the canal, I found three nuns crossing.

The major religion in Thailand is Buddhism. It was common to see Buddhist monks when I visited Buddhist temples. Yet I didn't see any nuns there. Unbelievably, women are denied their right to renounce the world officially in Thailand. This was why I didn't see any nuns in the temples. So they were not nuns exactly. Yet they also dedicated their lives to religion the same as monks. They were called Maechi.
