When I came to Phaya Lan Train Station, not far from downtown Yangon, I found what looked like a small tea shop in a corner of the platform. A man was relaxing there. He was the stationmaster. I wondered if the stationmaster of a station where trains don't come often was bored.
The stationmaster saw me pacing the platform and invited me into the tea shop. He didn't speak English or Japanese, so we were not able to communicate with each other, but the station master smiled at me for the camera and told me to get on the train.
