Stained Glass In Catholic Church Of Nakamachi

stained glass in church

The semicircular stained glasses were made on the wall

Shot at Catholic church of Nakamachi in Nagasaki city, Nagasaki.

There many christian churches in Nagasaki. During the Age of Discovery, the preacher of the Cross played an active role in the Southern part of Japan. And the churches in Nagasaki city might be the remnants of that time. Catholic church of Nakamachi is one of them. This church was exposed to radiation from the atomic bomb in 1945. And one of few architectures still remained.

No one was in the hall when I entered. And it was silent. I found the stained glasses on the wall. It portrayed Jesus on the cross.
