The city of Bangkok was built on the delta area of Chao Phraya River. And many canals were extended in the city. Once the transport by water was a major way to convey. Yet it fell into disrepair totally. The land transportation replaced the previous system. The canals just kept containing water calmly in today's environment.
No ships came and went on the canal in this photo. Alternatively, many things were place on the both sides of the canal. And many locals went about their daily lives. I found a man sitting at the root of a tall tree.
