It is not only snacks that are sold on the streets of Bangkok. There are also a variety of sweets sold on the streets. It is good that there are so many kinds of sweets, but there is a problem. I want to eat every single one of them because they all look so delicious. If I ate them every time I saw them, my stomach would be too big.
The woman in the photo is one of those selling sweets in Phra Nakhon, Bangkok. What she was selling was bua loy. Bua Loy is a kind of oshiruko (sweet red-bean soup) made with fruits and dumplings in thick, sweet coconut milk. On the table were bowls of toppings. When I pointed my camera at her, the woman smiled and gave me a thumbs up as she scooped them up with a ladle.
