There are quite a few old apartment complexes remaining in the old areas of Shanghai. They look like old apartment complexes in Japan. The streets between the buildings are narrow, bicycles are parked on the side of the road, and laundry hangs out to dry overhead. As I passed by, I looked down an alleyway and saw two boys playing. One was squatting on the ground, drawing something with chalk, while the other was staring at him. Cars are not allowed in these narrow alleys. It is a good place for children to play.
