As I was walking toward the center of Thanlyin, I saw a bright red plastic table out by the sidewalk. These tables are common in Myanmar. Many food stalls and eateries use these tables. But this is not a coffee shop, a diner, or a food stall. There was only one bright red table, and a boy in a school uniform was sitting alone at the table.
There were no cups or kettles on the table. The only thing on the table was the boy's notebook. It seemed that he was studying here. Maybe they were reviewing today's work. In any case, I wondered if they could concentrate properly by studying here. Many pedestrians are crossing in front of the table placed on the side of the sidewalk. I can't help but feel distracted. Some of them might be wondering what the boy is doing. In fact, when the boy saw me appear, he stopped studying and looked at me blankly.
Incidentally, the boy who was wearing his school uniform had a shirt on his upper body but was wearing longyi instead of pants underneath.
