Tired of gazing down the corridor from the second-floor corridor, I went down to the first floor. The Myo Ma Market in Thanlyin is packed with stores, but there are almost no customers. It is somewhat uncomfortable to be in a market with no activity. However, this does not mean that the entire market is deserted. The section selling fresh food was bustling with many shoppers. However, not many people seemed to come to the section lined with clothing stores.
Walking leisurely, I eventually came to a stationery store. There were many ballpoint pens and notebooks for sale. There were no customers in this store either. The only people in the store were the owner, a man, and a boy in uniform who appeared to be his son. The owner was sitting in the store with no customers, and the boy was sitting in front of the store. They both looked bored. When I pointed the camera at the boy, he gave me a straight gaze, and the shopkeeper, who was watching the scene, smiled inside the store.
