When I came to the banks of the Buriganga River in Dhaka, there were many people there. At first, I thought they were bathing, but this was neither a holy place nor a ritual bathing place. They were washing their bodies with the water of the river. This place looked like a popular public bath. They were scrubbing their bodies in the water like they were washing potatoes.
I didn't know if the water in the Buriganga River was clean or not, even though there were many people washing in the river water. Seemingly the locals didn't seem to care about that little detail. All of them were vigorously covering their heads with the river water.
