I continued walking through the alleys near Yangon Central Station. The atmosphere here is quite different from the area where my hotel was located. In contrast to the center of Yangon, which is bustling with many companies and stores, there are almost no stores here. There are only some kind of general stores for local residents. It was as if I was in a country town, and I was enjoying the atmosphere as I walked along.
As I walked along, I found a small store at the end of an alley. I could see some people sitting under the roof. They were probably enjoying a cup of tea with their friends. Located just below Yunnan Province in China, the birthplace of tea, the people of Myanmar have long been familiar with tea, and green tea is a common drink, just like in Japan.
I shifted my gaze sideways from the shadows and saw a mother and her young son standing in an alley. The mother's arm is extended straight toward her son. The mother's fingers are stretched out, as if she is scolding her son. In places where people live, scolding is everywhere.
