The rice fields were there beside the entrance of the small village. And some kids were catching fishes in one of the fields. They chased the fishes happy. To catch fishes was not just a recreation for them. It looked like a kind of hunting at the same time. The fishes caught in the rice fields became also foodstuffs. When I saw kids catching, I thought so. And I knew that would happen.
A plastic bucket was placed on the ground. And two kids who were drenched to the skin crouched beside it. Both of them had scissors in their hand. And they just cut fishes they caught just before. Fishes were cut one after another. I wondered whether they broiled or boiled their haul. Anyway, the fishes might be one of the chief sources of protein for the dwellers.
