Walked around the market in Dalah. The shops in this market were high-floored. And the articles for sale were displayed on the raised floor. Besides, the storekeepers were also sat on the raised floor. The woman in this photo also sat cross-legged on the access floor. Like other people, Thanaka was painted on her face.
When she waited for customers coming, a person who came to her was not a customer but a foreign traveler. Maybe she got discouraged. Anyway, she didn't deliver a sales pitch to me. She knew that I didn't become her customer. Noticing me holding a camera, she looked away. She seemed to be shy. During focusing on her, she didn't cast an eye on my camera at all. She kept looking prim.
