Man Wearing A Mask Danced With A Fan

Man having fan

He had a fan in his hand

Shot at Hanazono Jinja, a Shinto shrine in Shinjuku, Tokyo.

'Noh' was performed on the stage. A man wearing a mask opened his fan and was dancing with the fan in his hand on the stage.

It is said the mask showed what kind of character was performed. Yet I didn't understand what kind of character was performed because I had no education. The young people, including me, were soaking in the western culture. So the Noh play was exotic for me. And I couldn't understand what kind of play was performed on the stage.
