There were many shops in the Chinatown where I stayed. Besides, there were many street stalls by the roadside. The streets were bustling. I heard that the Chinese residents were also thought they had the knack for business. Seemingly, their businesses got along here.
Myanmar had the 10th largest population of overseas Chinese. According to an information, approximately 1.1 million ethnic Chinese dwelled in this country. However, it was uncommon to see people who looked Chinese. It was said that they blended into Burmese people well.
The shop in this photo was also located in the Chinatown. Two mothers and their babies sat in the storefront. Because of the location, they might be also local Chinese. Yet I couldn't determine. Thanaka was painted on their faces. Their appearances were no different from Burmese.
