Walking through Chinatown, I found a dimly lit alley-like passageway. This must be another diner, because tables are lined up against the wall. A small kitchen was set up at the entrance, and a woman was cooking. On a table beside her was a pile of eggs.
On the other side of the woman hung what appeared to be a sign. It was written in Thai, so I couldn't make out exactly what it said. I thought that since we were in Chinatown, it would be easier to understand if it were written in Chinese characters, but when I checked it out, it seemed to say "fish porridge." I am not sure if so many eggs are used in the porridge or not. Perhaps she is making a side dish to eat with the porridge. In any case, the woman was shaking the wok without looking aside.
