A slightly plump woman was standing in front of the storefront, talking with the shopkeeper inside about something. This appears to be a stationery store. Next to the window was a sign for BiC, a French stationery company based in Clichy, France, which sells writing instruments, lighters, and shavers in more than 160 countries around the world. It probably does business here in Mexico as well.
The store windows were equipped with iron bars. This is of course to prevent robberies, and it is not unusual to find iron bars on store windows in this area. Unlike Japan, security is not so good.
