Shot at Durbar Square, the plaza in front of the old royal palace in Kathmandu, Nepal.
In one corner of the square, a big black statue with a fierce face stood. The figure was Kala Bhairab which was Shiva in his most fearsome aspect. Although it had big round eyes, it wore a hair accessory with skull bones. Watching its face, I felt the cuteness and the awfulness at the same time.
In the meantime, a man and a woman came to in front of the statue. And the man started to make an offering. The statue was an active deity.
