The couple went through the frame
There is a Shinto shrine called Namiyoke Jinja near the Tsukuji Market. This area is a reclaimed land. Its construction was troublesome because of the waves from the ocean. So this shrine was built for the prayer to smooth the waves.
At the time of visiting, a metal frame was placed in front of the prayer hall. It was used for the ceremony to purgatory. It is believed that people get purified when they go through the frame. During watching, a couple was about to go through.
