I was wandering around the platform of Yangon Central Station. A long-distance train was stopped waiting to depart, and passengers had already started boarding. I peeked into the train car and saw passengers sitting in seats here and there. From the looks of it, this train is not crowded. Rather, it is quite empty. The train reminded me of the trains in India and Bangladesh, where people are packed in the train cars, but this does not seem to be the case with Myanmar trains. Although I did not intend to travel by train this time, I would like to travel by an empty train like this one.
As I walked along the train car, I saw an arm stretched out by the window. Since the windows could not be opened all the way due to their structure, he had placed his hand on the half-open window frame, with only his fingers sticking out. It must have been very hot in the car without air conditioning while it was running, but not while it was stopped. The person who had only his fingers out of the window may have been looking for fresh air in the hot and humid interior of the car.
