A boy was sitting in a small store. He was a boy with thick eyebrows. Beside him was a stack of unglazed cups used for drinking chai. Around Kolkata, people use unglazed cups like this one when drinking chai at chai stands on street corners. After drinking, the unglazed cups are broken off. In other words, these unglazed cups are disposable.
Because there are cups for chai, one might think that this is a chai stand, but the story is not so simple. In addition to the unglazed cups, there was what appeared to be a sanding tool in front of the boy, and a refrigerator could be seen in the back of the store, which seemed to be selling cold drinks. There are so many things in the shop that it is hard to say what this boy's main business is. Maybe he's a purveyor of all kinds of things.
As I came to the front, the boy started talking to me enthusiastically about something. It was in Bengali, so I had no idea what he was saying, but he didn't seem to mind.
