The bridge built in 1634 in this photo is called 'Spectacles Bridge'. 'Megane' means 'Spectacles' in Japanese. It is the oldest stone arch bridge in the mainland of Japan. And it is one of the major tourist attractions in Nagasaki city now. Many tourists like me were on this old stone bridge. Yet the bridge was dignified and calm. It didn't seem to get excited over being closely watched.
Because the sun was strong, their figures on the bridge were silhouetted.
