A large pond is located in the center of Rikugien Garden. This was originally the garden of a feudal lord. And there are several streams connected to the pond, with stone bridges here and there. I saw a father and his two children on one of them. The three of them seemed to be sitting there, relaxing.
The father was hanging something that looked like a string down into the pond. It looked like he was fishing. I wondered what he could catch here. But this is a pond in the garden. It is not connected to the river outside, so I guessed that only carp and turtles were swimming in the pond. In any case, the two children didn't pay any attention to the string their father had let hang down. They didn't seem to care about what their father was doing at all.
