As I stood in front of the gate of the Taoist temple called Thien Hau Temple in Cholon, a motorbike was just coming out from inside. It was a motorcycle with two women wearing helmets and masks. In Ho Chi Minh City, people often wear masks as well as helmets when riding motorbikes to protect themselves from the polluted air and strong sunlight.
Even though I understood this situation in my head, I still felt like a robber wearing a helmet with a mask covering my face. In fact, if they walked into a bank with that appearance, they would surely be reported immediately.
