A western style tea house which belonged to Eiichi Shibusawa is preserved in the park. He was a Japanese industrialist known as the 'father of Japanese capitalism'. This park was one of the first public park in this country and Shibusawa made his home here. The building was built in 1925.
Unfortunately, it was closed at the time of visiting. I could see only a figure of a man on the other side of the glass door.
