At Chigasaki Station, I changed to the Sagami Line. The Sagami Line is a single-track line. Although it is not so far from the center of Tokyo, seeing a single-track railroad makes me feel like I am in the countryside. The single-track line is probably sufficient because there are no passengers using the railroad. It may be that the locals generally travel by private car.
After a while after getting into the car, the train started moving. I stood right behind the driver's seat and watched the scenery from the window. The driver was operating the equipment with a familiar hand, paying no attention to my gaze. The train was speeding up and up and up.
As the speed increased, the houses standing by the side of the tracks quickly drifted backward. As I was enjoying this spectacle, I suddenly realized that no matter how old I get, I still love to watch the scenery go by through the windows of the train. What I loved as a child may not become something I dislike as an adult. I never got tired of watching the scenery from the car window.
