The street market was crowded. Those who walked the street market were not only shoppers but also hawkers. The jammed street was a nice place for the peddlers. Maybe the peddlers just couldn't secure a spot for their business. Or they preferred to do business without staying in a place. They could move any street markets where they want to go when they were tired of being staying.
The man in this photo was one of the hawkers who did business in crowds. He carried many baskets with his carrying pole. It was common to see this kind of baskets in the market. Many street vendors used them to display their articles for sale. So he could cater to the street vendors. Looking at his face, he put a brooding look. He might not do well in business.
